Studied at ELTE Budapest – history, sociology, anthropology – graduated in 1992.

Participated in the Atelier Doctoral School, ELTE, between 1992–96.

PhD defended in 2000 at ELTE, and from then on Assistant and Associate Professor at CEU's Department of Medieval Studies.
